CZ partridge 20 guage

Hi guys,
Been thinking of getting a 20 guage sxs for a long time for shooting valley quail over pointing dogs.

Well a couple years ago a buddy gave me a turkish 20 O&U. I love it. It looks great, fits great and it is my go to gun for quail.

Well still have the sxs bug.

So i am thinking a CZ partridge. Found a place that has them very reasonably. All i need is a reasonably priced FFL in socal and it will be on its way...I will share price after i make the deal. Originally wanted the bobwhite, due to the case coloring etc...but for the price....

I purchased the CZ partridge in .28 ga last year. Very fun gun. No complaints thus far.

So i just pulled the trigger so to speak.

$489 for the Partrige. $507.97 out the door with shipping to my FFL.

Unfort my ffl charges $60 and gov $25 so lets see...$592.97

That was from CDNN Sports 1 800 588 9580. I dealt with Ken. No muss no fuss.

I believe that is still a pretty good deal, even having to pay my FFL a little.

Cant wait to get it and put some rounds through it. Looking forward to my 1st sxs and my 1st double trigger gun.

I think i would've liked the bobwhite a little better, but for the $ I am very pleased

That sounds like a great deal. What is the weight to the gun and how is it choked? Wife says I can get another SxS if I get a good job offer in the next few month.

Is that all just an "offer"? Well let me help you out here..........I am going to offer you a job. Its everything your looking for but it requires something you are not ready to commit to yet. So now all you have to do is decline my offer and go buy yourself a new gun. You fill in any blank spots that the wife may ask about. Its just a little white lie but what she dont know dont hurt her.

Tex, even though we all have to ask our wives for permission to buy big ticket shotguns, we never say that on this forum. It ruins the tough guy macho persona we all strive for on the UBF.

You French Brit fellas aint got to worry about manliness!

The CZ’s come with 5 (five) chokes, CYL, IM CYL, MOD, IM MOD, FULL.

A great gun for the money. I paid $590 + a $25 FFL fee…and I thought that was cheap!

It came to my FFL Friday. It looks sweet. The wood is very nice and the silver colored metal looks way better than i expected.
Sweet.

I picked up my partridge last nite.
It is really a little beauty. It might be a little heavier than some, but it has a nice fit, the wood is beautiful and the engraving is understated and nice.

I cant wait to get it out next quail season.
I have a little Turkish over and under and the two look almost like a matched pair.

I am very pleased. It made me wanna buy another one, maybe a bobwhite.

I looked at a CZ Partridge, wanted one real bad, but could not find one anywhere around here. Buddy says "get online, we'll use my FFL and we can have it shipped". Before we could do that, my wife surprised me with a Weatherby Athena D' Italia 28 gauge sxs for my birthday. It's beautiful, light, handles like a dream. Good luck with the CZ, I've heard nothing but good things about them.
