This is a land of ancient's with some record of it's inhabitants besides arrow heads and pot sherds.
You might recognize some of this from a cover on NG a while back.

It's interesting to say the least to be standing in Elk country around 9000 feet and looking into Desert Sheep country.

A walk through a petrified forest is an unusual treat in this country. Sleeping Rainbows they call them.

It was on to Kodachrome Basin next where we hiked around and tried to capture some of the beauty that drew Kodak and NG here to debut their new film.

While there I made a great archeological find, by discovering a link between the modern planters Mr. Peanut and one of his ancient fore bearers, Peanuticus Plantericus.

Next it was on to the jewel Bryce for more hiking and Touristy type activities.

The Queens Garden.

When your on the rim, hang on tight as the wind can really kick up at times.

Back into some Elk country for some fishing at Navajo Lake.

Next up was the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Not as good as the South but Spectacular just the same.

Back down to the desert, the vermilion cliffs and the Navajo nation then on to Glen Canyon recreation area and lake Powell.
A day's swimming with grand views in the 110 degree heat.

Which brings us to the end and nothing left but a long but scenic drive home the next day.

So much more to see, so little time.......
