Spring Walking Field Trial
March 6-7 2010
Elberta, Utah
This field trial is open to all AKC register able Pointing Breeds and is held under the Rules and Procedures of the American Kennel Club.
Trial is limited to the number of entries that can be run during available daylight hours. Bitches in season may compete and will be moved to the last brace of the day. Entries will close when the limit is reached, if this occurs prior to the specified closing time, which is March 3 2010, at 7:00 pm. Drawing will take place at 7:30 pm on this date at 461 W Village Drive

The GSPCU is using PRIVATE ground for this trial we appreciate you keeping the grounds clean. Dry camping is available. Please pickup after yourself and leave the site in good condition. All Participants, Guests and Entries are accepted on the condition that the GSPCU and its officers are released from liability for loss, damage, or injury sustained by people, dogs, horses or property in connection with this trial.
Food: Lunches will be provided for judges and for participants. Donations will be accepted.
Map/Directions
Directions to trial grounds- From Salt Lake City drive south and take exit 279 in Lehi. This is the Roller Mills exit. Drive west to Highway 68 (Redwood Road) turn south and drive until you see the railroad tracks. Turn right before the tracks. That is Elberta Slant Road. The grounds are 3.1 miles up this dirt road. From the South, Take the Santaquin Exit, Highway 6 exit. Drive west to Elberta. Turn right on highway 68. You will cross railroad tracks up the road about a mile, turn left immediately after the tracks. The trial grounds are 3.1 miles up Elberta Slant road. Signs will be posted from Elberta Slant road to the trial grounds.

The field trial committee reserves the right to change the running order and judges as circumstances permit or warrant in this field trial.
Courses and Birds
One course will be used.
Open Walking Gundog will be a retrieving stake. Birds will be blanked on course with a call back for retrieve. Open Walking Derby, Open Walking Puppy, and Amateur Walking Gundog are non-retrieving. Birds will be blanked on course, except puppy. Chukars and/or Quail will be planted in all stakes except Open Puppy.
Note: Shotgun blanks are not permitted.
AKC approved tracking collars are permitted.
